We are a community of young cyclists who organize weekly rides, regular get-togethers off the bike, and larger cycling events. Our aim is to create a space where everyone – regardless of fitness, experience, or equipment – can enjoy cycling. For us, the focus is on the social side of things. Our goal is to build an inclusive group and create a safe space free from discrimination, where everyone can feel comfortable and welcome! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴 How did we actually come up with the name "VELOciraptors Heidelberg"? We owe it to ChatGPT, so please, no AI-bashing!

We are open-minded and tolerant. As VELOciraptors Heidelberg we explicitly commit to a community that actively opposes any form of fascism, racism, and exclusion. We distance ourselves from all individuals and organizations that contradict democratic values. Due to recent events, we explicitly include the positions and political orientation of the AfD – they are in clear contradiction to our convictions. Anyone who rides with us stands not only on the pedals but also for respect, diversity, and solidarity. Our rides are a space for people who share these values with us.
