Our community is much more than just a group of cycling enthusiasts. We stand for openness and participation in cycling – regardless of performance level, background, or financial means. To maintain and further develop our ongoing activities such as group rides, community training, and our own merchandise in the long term, we rely on financial support.

Through sponsorship, we aim not only to strengthen our visual identity – with new jerseys, bottles, and organizational materials – but also to create space for new ideas and developments. These include organizing an open cycling race in Heidelberg that brings together riders of all levels, as well as implementing socially engaged projects in the cycling context: for example, a mobile bike workshop, loaner race bikes for people with limited financial resources, or targeted promotion of youth cycling. Our overarching goal is to make cycling more accessible to as many people as possible – especially to those who have had little opportunity to participate so far.

As a sponsor or partner, you become part of this development. You not only gain visibility – on our website, social media channels, or jerseys – but also take a stand for a sustainable, healthy, and inclusive cycling culture in Heidelberg. Every contribution helps to stabilize and further develop the VELOciraptors project and make it accessible to a broader audience.

As a Member of VELOciraptors Heidelberg e.V.🫶🏼 (currently in the founding phase)

The VELOciraptors Heidelberg e.V. supports the work of the organizing group and helps make the community more accessible, stable, and attractive in the long term. The existing structure of the VELOciraptors remains unchanged: everyone can continue to participate in our rides and events without membership or participation fees. Only in rare cases, such as larger events like the Cycling Camp, might membership be required for organizational reasons. The association works mostly in the background and remains largely invisible to most members of the community. Those who wish to support our work beyond one-time donations can become members and thus contribute to the community’s long-term stability. Transparency is important to us, so we openly communicate what the association stands for and how it operates. Detailed information about the association’s activities can be found under Discover → Documents. Membership fees are not an entry ticket to join rides but a way to support the VELOciraptors as an independent, open, and solidarity-based community.
