Junger ADFC Rhein-Neckar (Link)
ADFC Rhein-Neckar is the local branch of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (General German Cyclists’ Association). They advocate for better cycling conditions in the region, safer infrastructure, and a sustainable transport transition. In addition to political dialogue, bike demos, and campaigns, they also organize events for everyone who enjoys cycling.
Junger ADFC Rhein-Neckar, their youth group, is currently looking for people who would like to get involved in traffic education. Specifically, the goal is to teach children and teenagers safe and confident cycling in a playful way. This work is paid. You can find more information here. If you would like to get involved, feel free to reach out!

It promotes child and youth work, supports member organisations both organisationally and financially, and offers platforms for exchange, networking, and cooperation. In addition, it represents young people’s concerns toward politics, administration, and the public, organises its own projects and events, and actively strengthens youth participation, democratic involvement, and social diversity in Heidelberg. With our club, for example, we attend the open-air bicycle cinema.

Bezahlkarte stoppen Heidelberg (Link)
Not directly related to cycling, but definitely interesting for all solidarity-minded dinos! “Bezahlkarte stoppen Heidelberg” is an alliance campaigning against the introduction of the payment card for refugees in Heidelberg. To give refugees more room to act despite restrictions, the initiative organises an exchange scheme. Refugees bring vouchers worth 50 euros, for example Aldi or Rewe, which they receive via the payment card, and supportive people buy these vouchers from them. This converts the credit back into cash, giving affected people more freedom in how they use their money while also sending a clear sign of solidarity.

The alliance organises demonstrations, rallies, and educational events to make right-wing structures visible, prevent their normalisation, and strengthen opposing positions in the city’s public sphere. The goal is to send a clear public message that there is no place in Heidelberg for right-wing agitation, exclusion, and violence.

We stand in solidarity with all people on the move and demand that German and European politics immediately create safe routes for refugees, decriminalise sea rescue, and ensure dignified reception for those who had to flee or are still fleeing. End Cement (Link)
The cement industry is extremely dangerous. It is one of the biggest climate polluters, blows toxic dust into the air, and contributes to a grey wave of environmental destruction. Right at the centre of this is Heidelberg Materials. The multinational cement giant has become the number one climate polluter among German corporations and is determined to block the construction transition at all costs. This has to stop.
